Most of the time young people have their iPods , MP3 players, or computers playing music all the time. I know when I am study ing or cleaning oreven when I am just bored, I listen to music.
The question is should iPods be allowed in study halls? Study halls give student the opportunity to catch up on work they are be hind on or just simply sit and dohomework. Like I said be fore, as a teenager I listen to music while I study. If I have music playing I tend to concentrate more. If I was given permission to listen to my IPod during a study hall, I would defiantly get more done.
Another point is if you try and prevent a student from havingtheir IPod, they will most likely get frustrated be cause they will not see the harm in having it, and in turnwill not want to do their work and just quit.
One thing you will learn with teenagers is that if you wantsomething done you have to compromise with them. If you let them have some leisure while doing work, more work would get done. So I do be lieve thatstudent should be allowed to have iPods in their study halls , as long as they are not be ing a distraction. Ifyou let them listen to music, they will do their work, and everyone is happy. However, when students are in study hall, or even during classes such as art, there is nothing for the music todisrupt.
Some studies have shown that listening to music actually helps kids remem be r information. Best Nail Salons in the Area. Rise of the Boston Red Sox. Homecoming Should Make a Return to Walpole. Girls Soccer Competes in Senior Night. New Speech and Debate members compete in annual Novice Tournament.

Many straight-A high school students have few interests, little curiosity and zero inclination toward intellectual discovery. For example, in my class, some naughty students have ignored the teachers by listening music until getting ditentions. Moreover, they were using Ipods as other students did the presentation. Although these kids were disciplined and they promised not to do it again the school's discipline has been broken.
On the other hand, Ipods easily encourage kids to be selfish and lonely. At recesses and lunchtimes, instead of eating and chatting with friends, students just sit alone, listen to music and don't care about any thing happening around. Therefore, in
