Everything else is business as usual with over 85 Charity and commercial stalls and our excellent fair on Broad Street. All stalls and the fairground rides have been distanced to allow more space and movement between them this year, because of Covid This year our stage will be sited at the eastern end of Peach Place with a full programme of entertainment from 11am to 4pm. Children can sit on the stage side of the plastic barriers and there is also space for disabled chairs and mobility scooters to view the stage from the stage side of the barrier, see the Marshall on duty for entry.
Santa is available for children to visit in the Grotto at Wokingham Library from 11am, Santa will be socially distanced, but we hope that the children enjoy meeting him as usual. Please respect the social distancing with others queuing to see him. Please also support our charities this year by giving generously.
We have a need for marshals on the day, if you can assist, particularly from 11am to 5. We have been particularly asked this year to encourage all our visitors to sign in when visiting the carnival, via your smart phones, using the QR codes on signs around the town. Also, please avoid crowding or long queues whenever possible. The Council are encouraging all visitors to wear masks in crowded areas, use hand gel regularly through the day and respect the advice of our Marshals on the day.
